Unthinking
Bordering upon ignorant

Stomach turning

Frozen OverDo I love?
The recollection brings a bitter smile
There's a coldness
Without substance
The fire of passion snuffed out so long ago
I craved the love
It was an addiction
Seeking it regardless of the ordeal it required
So much capacity for affection
And yet it hurt me
Every word a painful barb
Piercing into my soul
Seeping a cold venom
I could feel the sharp crystals forming in my blood
Too late to save my gentle heart
My love had frozen over
Even my tears became ice
Forming glittering streaks as they ran down my face
And yet I lived on

We don't really have anything growing at the moment. It's remarkable though. It's so cold, and yet plants are still able to hold on. I guess I was able to capture this before the cold got to it. Little sad that it's gone now. Thanks for your feedback.
