A Heart Whispers
Can you hear it
Expression buried
Suffocated beneath their hate
Forming a caustic toxin
A deadly venom
A senseless poison
No more guessing
It hurts to comprehend
My heart cries out
Don't walk away
If that's all they've got
Maybe it'll be just that simple
Naught but a joke
A heavy stupidity
A gross lack of clear comprehension
The heart beats within
I have no fear
Brave enough to hold on with one hand
My other clutches yours
In earnest
With powerful compassion
More than a child
Grip loosening when you're uncertain
Releasing when you raise your guard
Trusting yourself to decide
Strength more than enough
Fortifying your armor
Your heart strikes
Victory is sweet
Foe fleeing in silent defeat
I stand by
Voice absent
Heart singing for your triumph
